| Resumen : | El presente estudio analiza el impacto de la higiene y seguridad laboral en la eficiencia y eficacia de la Empresa Municipal de Aseo Integral Montecristi. El problema identificado es el incumplimiento de normativas de seguridad, la falta de Equipos de Protección Personal (EPP) adecuados y el deterioro del parque automotor, lo que genera riesgos laborales, ausentismo y baja productividad. Se empleó una metodología de enfoque mixto: cualitativa, mediante la revisión documental y entrevistas al gerente de la empresa; y cuantitativa, a través de encuestas aplicadas a los trabajadores operativos. Los resultados evidencian que el 59 % de los colaboradores considera inadecuada la calidad de los EPP, el 68 % percibe insuficiencia en la formación en normativas, y el 64 % indica que la optimización de recursos ha mejorado la productividad. Se concluye que la falta de cumplimiento normativo y las deficiencias en seguridad afectan directamente la operación de la empresa. Se recomienda implementar capacitaciones periódicas, mejorar la supervisión de normativas y renovar los recursos materiales y logísticos para garantizar condiciones laborales seguras y eficientes. |
| Descripción : | This study analyzes the impact of occupational hygiene and safety on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Municipal Waste Management Company of Montecristi. The identified problem is the non-compliance with safety regulations, the lack of adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and the deterioration of the vehicle fleet, which leads to occupational risks, absenteeism, and low productivity. A mixed-method approach was used: qualitative, through document review and an interview with the company manager; and quantitative, through surveys applied to operational workers. Results show that 59% of employees consider the quality of PPE inadequate, 68% perceive insufficient training in safety regulations, and 64% state that resource optimization has improved productivity. It is concluded that non-compliance with regulations and safety deficiencies negatively affect the company's operations. It is recommended to implement periodic training, strengthen regulation supervision, and renew material and logistical resources to ensure safe and efficient working conditions. |
