| Resumen : | El turismo en Ecuador ha experimentado un crecimiento significativo en los últimos años convirtiéndose en una actividad de gran importancia. La tesis titulada “El turismo ecológico como alternativa de desarrollo turístico en la parroquia San Lorenzo, cantón Manta, provincia de Manabí, República del Ecuador” busca analizar la falta de conciencia y conocimiento en temas ambientales y ecológicos. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue proponer el turismo ecológico como medio de desarrollo turístico en la parroquia San Lorenzo. Para ello, se realizaron visitas de campo y se dialogó con la comunidad. Los métodos utilizados incluyeron; el análisis bibliográfico, estudio de campo, enfoques deductivos, analíticos y estadísticos, junto con técnicas de investigación como observación directa, encuestas dirigidas a residentes y turistas. Tomando como muestra a 68 encuestados. Los resultados obtenidos demostraron el estado actual del turismo en la comunidad y las actividades ecológicas que se llevan a cabo en la parroquia. Se desarrolló una matriz de actores para identificar a la comunidad vinculada en actividades ecoturísticas, buscando que la comunidad se implique y participe en ámbitos relevantes y adecuados para el logro del desarrollo turístico local. Se plantearon estrategias que contribuyan a la promoción de los recursos naturales y culturales, con el objetivo de fomentar y promover el desarrollo sostenible. El turismo ecológico tiene un impacto en el desarrollo turístico de la parroquia, generando conciencia ambiental e ingresos para sus habitantes. Esto se debe a la importancia de promover el turismo ecológico como una alternativa de desarrollo sostenible en el área. |
| Descripción : | Tourism in Ecuador has experienced significant growth in recent years becoming an activity of great importance. The thesis entitled "Ecotourism as an alternative for tourism development in the parish of San Lorenzo, Manta canton, province of Manabi, Republic of Ecuador" seeks to analyze the lack of awareness and knowledge on environmental and ecological issues. The main objective of this research was to propose ecological tourism as a means of tourism development in the San Lorenzo parish. For this purpose, field visits were made and a dialogue was held with the community. The methods used included; bibliographic analysis, field study, deductive, analytical and statistical approaches, along with research techniques such as direct observation, surveys directed to residents and tourists. A sample of 68 respondents was taken. The results obtained showed the current state of tourism in the community and the ecological activities carried out in the parish. A matrix of actors was developed to identify the community involved in ecotourism activities, seeking community involvement and participation in relevant and appropriate areas for the achievement of local tourism development. Strategies that contribute to the promotion of natural and cultural resources were proposed in order to encourage and promote sustainable development. Ecotourism has an impact on the parish's tourism development, generating environmental awareness and income for its inhabitants. This is due to the importance of promoting ecotourism as an alternative for sustainable development in the area. |
