| Resumen : | La población juvenil tiene algunas barreras que impiden su inserción laboral, afectado en gran medida el desarrollo económico y social. Esta investigación se realizó con el objetivo de determinar de qué manera el empleo juvenil incide en el desarrollo socioeconómico del cantón Pedro Carbo, período 2015-2020. La investigación estuvo apoyada en trabajos anteriores que reflejan el problema existente. Tuvo un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, con soporte en diversos métodos como el deductivo, bibliográfico, de campo y estadístico, donde la principal técnica utilizada fue la encuesta, misma que fue aplicada a una muestra de 373 jóvenes del cantón. Los resultados indicaron que en el cantón no existen suficientes fuentes de empleo para los jóvenes y por ello les resulta difícil conseguirlo. Además, las fuentes existentes son diversas y corresponden a negocios familiares u otros. Se logró conocer que el empleo juvenil fue la principal fuente de ingresos, sin embargo, no les ha permitido dar cobertura a todas las necesidades básicas, gastos adicionales o ahorrar para realizar inversiones. En base a estos resultados se pudo concluir que el empleo juvenil del cantón no influye de forma positiva en el desarrollo socioeconómico por diversas razones como las limitadas fuentes de empleo y un nivel de ingresos bajo. En base a esto es recomendable la implementación de iniciativas para que las fuentes de empleo para los jóvenes aumenten, y tengan acceso a un empleo adecuado que les garantice estabilidad económica y seguridad social. |
| Descripción : | The youth population has some barriers that prevent their employment, greatly affected economic and social development. This research was carried out with the objective of determining how youth employment affects the socioeconomic development of the Pedro Carbo canton, period 2015-2020. The research was supported by previous works that reflect the existing problem. It had a qualitative and quantitative approach, supported by various methods such as deductive, bibliographic, field and statistical, where the main technique used was the survey, which was applied to a sample of 373 young people from the canton. The results indicated that in the canton there are not enough sources of employment for young people and that is why it is difficult for them to obtain it. In addition, the existing sources are diverse and correspond to family businesses or others. It was learned that youth employment was the main source of income, however, it has not allowed them to cover all basic needs, additional expenses or save to make investments. Based on these results, it was possible to conclude that youth employment in the canton does not positively influence socioeconomic development for various reasons such as limited sources of employment and a low income level. Based on this, it is advisable to implement initiatives so that the sources of employment for young people increase, and they have access to adequate employment that guarantees economic stability and social security. |
