| Descripción : | The main objective of the research project is to design a prototype of a smart cane with sensors for people with visual and physical disabilities in the Engineering Degree in Computer and Network Engineering, the smart cane prototype will detect obstacles at a distance greater than and less than 1 meter, in this way the cane will prevent the wearer from suffering accidents. Considering that technological advances make it easier for people with disabilities to acquire, develop and improve their cognitive abilities within the surrounding environment, The methodology used in the project development process was diagnosticpropositive, qualitative and quantitative, the tools developed for the collection of information were questionnaires for the surveys and interviews carried out. The solution proposal culminates with the development of the smart cane prototype with ultrasonic sensors for people with visual impairment which will allow to detect obstacles in the tracks to help them perform any movement activity more easily in places outside their home. |
