| Descripción : | Poliglobulia and its risk factors in voluntary blood donors who come to Cruz Roja. Polyglobulia is a disease in which there is a high number of hematocrit approximately 60% in men and 50% in women for which the diagnosis and its treatment is important. Those voluntary donors with high levels cannot receive the donation because each donation Blood bank manages its hemoglobin and hematocrit levels already and established by the Ministerio de Salud Publica in conjunction with the Cruz Roja, as well as it could cause the donor to have a needle plugging to accur and not complete the donation. The objective of the research was to analyze polyglobulia and its risk factors in voluntary blood donors who attended in the Cruz Roja Portoviejo. This research work has a descriptive, nonexperimental, retrospective cross-sectional design with an analytical approach, since it allowed describing the behavior and association of the variables and obtaining the data in a precise way and fulfilling with the objectives set out. In this study, an analysis was made of 169 blood donors who attended in the Cruz Roja , voluntarily and altruistically. An increase in hematocrit (> 52%) was detected, registering 62 of them indicating that 36.69% of this population presented this pathology and 107(63,3%) are normal donors. |
