| Resumen : | El estudio “La deforestación y su incidencia de la capacidad hídrica de las fuentes de agua de la Parroquia Convento del cantón Chone, tuvo como objetivo evaluar la deforestación y su incidencia en la pérdida de capacidad hídrica de las fuentes de agua. Se realizó un diagnóstico para determinar el nivel de la deforestación, se identificó las principales fuentes hídricas y las características hidrológicas y se elaboró una propuesta técnica. Se encuestaron a 216 familias de agricultores y ganaderos, también a cinco funcionarios públicos del GAD. Se aplicó el análisis de estadística descriptiva. Se pudo determinar que la deforestación se ha realizado de manera permanente, especialmente en las cuencas y micro cuencas y que la causa principal para la deforestación es el establecimiento de pastizales para ampliar la actividad ganadera, además, que la deforestación incide en la perdida de la capacidad hídrica de las principales fuentes de agua, los pobladores y autoridades están consciente y tienen conocimiento del problema de la deforestación existente en la parroquia Convento; se identificaron siete ríos principales, en los últimos años han perdido su capacidad de almacenamiento y velocidad del agua. Se recomienda emplear los resultados de esta investigación en la elaboración de un plan de restauración ecológica para recuperar a mediano plazo la capacidad hídrica de las fuentes de agua, realizar nuevas investigaciones en otras áreas del cantón Chone y de la provincia para implementar un plan integral de restauración ecológica para mitigar el efecto la deforestación. |
| Descripción : | The study "The deforestation and its incidence of the water capacity of the water sources of the Parroquia Convent of the Chone canton, had as objective to evaluate the deforestation and its incidence in the loss of water capacity of the water sources. A diagnosis was made to determine the level of deforestation, the main water sources and hydrological characteristics were identified and a technical proposal was prepared. A total of 216 families of farmers and ranchers were surveyed, as well as five GAD public officials. The analysis of descriptive statistics was applied. It was possible to determine that deforestation has been carried out permanently, especially in watersheds and micro-basins and that the main cause for deforestation is the establishment of pastures to expand livestock activity, in addition, that deforestation affects the loss of water capacity of the main water sources, the inhabitants and authorities are aware and aware of the problem of deforestation in the convent parish; Seven main rivers were identified, in recent years they have lost their storage capacity and water velocity. It is recommended to use the results of this research in the elaboration of an ecological restoration plan to recover in the medium term the water capacity of the water sources, to carry out new investigations in other areas of the Chone canton and the province to implement a comprehensive plan of ecological restoration to mitigate the effect of deforestation. |
