| Resumen : | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general impulsar el turismo como estrategia de desarrollo sostenible en la comunidad Rio Chico, parroquia Noboa, cantón 24 de Mayo, Manabí aplicando metodologías acorde al territorio. La información recopilada se obtuvo mediante investigación bibliográfica y de campo, para lo cual se plantearon tres objetivos específicos. Se analizó la comunidad Rio Chico donde se identificó que la problemática que impide impulsar el turismo como estrategia de desarrollo del turismo en la comunidad es el deficiente desarrollo de la actividad turística debido a varios componentes como la inexistente infraestructura turística, la falta de señalética y el desconocimiento del potencial turístico. En cuanto a los resultados, la primera fase se determinó a través del diagnóstico participativo, externo y competitivo, aplicando herramientas como las matrices de evaluación de factores externos, evaluación de factores internos, de perfil competitivo y la matriz FODA, corroborando las principales fortalezas, oportunidades, debilidades y amenazas con las que cuentan; en la fase de identificación de los recursos naturales y culturales se encontró 5 recursos naturales que son la unión de río chico y río grande, una poza, río chicho, río grande y la cascada el pechiche y un solo recurso cultural la iglesia de la comunidad. Las estrategias se desarrollaron en base a fundamentos teóricos y estrategias planteadas en otros sectores las cuales fueron adaptadas al territorio. |
| Descripción : | The general objective of this research is to promote tourism as a sustainable development strategy in the Rio Chico community, Noboa Parroquia, 24 de Mayo canton, Manabí, applying methodologies according to the territory. The information gathered was obtained through bibliographic and field research, for which three specific objectives were established. The Rio Chico community was analyzed where it was identified that the problem that prevents the promotion of tourism as a strategy for tourism development in the community is the deficient development of tourism activity due to several components such as the non-existent tourism infrastructure, the lack of signage and the lack of knowledge of the tourism potential. As for the results, the first phase was determined through the participatory, external and competitive diagnosis, applying tools such as the evaluation matrices of external factors, evaluation of internal factors, competitive profile and the SWOT matrix, corroborating the main strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats; in the phase of identification of natural and cultural resources, 5 natural resources were found, which are the union of the Rio Chico and Rio Grande, a pool, Rio Chicho, Rio Grande and the Pechiche waterfall, and only one cultural resource, the community's church.
