| dc.description | Adverse events constitute any harm related to health care and that is done without the intention of affecting the individual. In this sense, they are currently considered a fundamental issue in the quality of care and patient safety. In this context, the objective of the work was to analyze the scientific evidence in relation to the main adverse events in patients with vascular access. This research work is qualitative. In this sense, a bibliographic review is presented based on fundamentals, postulates and theories with scientific criteria about adverse events in patients with vascular access. For this, 20 scientific articles with greater relevance were selected for the analysis of results and their discussion. Based on the foregoing, it can be concluded that adverse events in vascular access originate from a lack of training, surveillance and control of the device by health personnel. | dc.description.abstract | Los eventos adversos constituyen cualquier daño relacionado con el cuidado de salud y que se realiza sin intención de afectar al individuo. En este sentido, actualmente son considerados un tema fundamental en la calidad de atención y seguridad del paciente. Bajo este contexto, el objetivo del trabajo fue analizar las evidencias científicas en relación a los principales eventos adversos en los pacientes con accesos vasculares. El presente trabajo de investigación es de tipo cualitativa. En este sentido, se presenta una revisión bibliográfica que tiene su base en fundamentos, postulados y teorías con criterio científico acerca de los eventos adversos en pacientes con accesos vasculares. Para ello, se seleccionaron 20 artículos científicos con mayor relevancia para el análisis de resultados y la discusión de los mismos. Por lo anterior, se puede concluir que los eventos adversos en los accesos vasculares se originan por la falta de capacitación, vigilancia y control del dispositivo por parte del personal de salud. | es_ES |
