| Resumen : | El presente proyecto de titulación tiene como objetivo analizar el papel de las concentraciones séricas de aminotransferasas y consumo de carbohidratos en pacientes con Covid-19 y sus implicaciones. La enfermedad por coronavirus (Covid-19) es causada por el virus SARSCoV2, y generó gran controversia en 2019 causando impacto mayor en los habitantes del mundo a inicios del 2020 hasta la actualidad. Se utilizó información de los años 2019 a 2021 observando que diversos estudios muestran relación entre la mortalidad y alteraciones de las enzimas hepáticas como la alanina aminotransferasa y el aspartato aminotransferasa, además, el consumo de carbohidratos en pacientes antes del ingreso a unidad de cuidados intensivos y durante, indican que los pacientes que tenían una dieta alta en carbohidratos ingresan a UCI con mayor frecuencia, a diferencia de los pacientes que tenían una ingesta baja de carbohidratos con un ingreso leve a UCI. El aumento de glucemia en sangre según diversas investigaciones, supone un factor de complicación en el tratamiento de Covid-19, porque en varias investigaciones realizadas a raíz de la aparición del virus, los pacientes que más dificultades presentan en el tratamiento de este, son aquellos quienes padecen de otras patologías incluyendo la alteración de glucemia o diabetes. Como conclusión podemos observar que las alteraciones de las transaminasas (AST Y ALT) en pacientes con Covid-19 y el consumo mal controlado de carbohidratos son un factor de riesgo para la mortalidad en pacientes con Covid-19. |
| Descripción : | The objective of this degree project is to analyze the role of serum concentrations of aminotransferases and carbohydrate consumption in patients with Covid-19 and its implications. The coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus, and generated great controversy in 2019, causing a greater impact on the world's inhabitants from the beginning of 2020 to the present. Information from the years 2019 to 2021 was used, observing that various studies show a relationship between mortality and alterations in liver enzymes such as alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, in addition, the consumption of carbohydrates in patients before admission to the intensive care unit and during, indicate that patients who had a high carbohydrate diet are admitted to the ICU more frequently, unlike patients who had a low carbohydrate intake with a mild admission to the ICU. The increase in blood glucose, according to various investigations, is a complicating factor in the treatment of Covid-19, because in several investigations carried out as a result of the appearance of the Covid-19 virus, the patients who present the most difficulties in the treatment of this, are those who suffer from other pathologies including the alteration of glycemia or diabetes. In conclusion, we can observe that alterations in transaminases (AST and ALT) in patients with Covid-19 and poorly controlled consumption of carbohydrates are a risk factor for mortality in patients with Covid-19. |
