| dc.description | This research work is based on designing computer security policies for the "Computer Systems Unit" of the Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí, It is mainly oriented to the protection of information, establishing security policies as protocols to maintain communication constant in order to avoid the loss of information. The Computer Systems Unit of the Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí of Being in charge of maintaining operational services, managing the UNESUM technology park, managing the institutional network, meeting the requirements of other areas and other functions that require taking necessary measures that allow to secure the information. The research adopts a methodology based on a risk analysis of the infrastructure of the area, which compiles various threats and vulnerabilities that in the future may cause severe damage to the institution, the same that are necessary to propose precise solutions and avoid possible losses. Designing computer security policies allows suggesting actions that should be considered in order to keep computer technology prepared for future incidents and eventualities, in turn allow raising the level of security that the information will have, which is considered the most important asset for all the institution. Therefore, each established policy must be complied with with full responsibility by those who make use of the information technology that UNESUM has. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo de investigación se basa en diseñar políticas de seguridad informática para la “Unidad de Sistemas Informáticos” de la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí, está orientado principalmente a la protección de la información, estableciendo políticas de seguridad como protocolos para mantener una comunicación constante a manera de evitar la pérdida de información. La Unidad de Sistemas Informáticos de la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí encargada de mantener los servicios operativos, gestionar el parque tecnológico de la UNESUM, gestionar la red institucional, atender los requerimientos por parte de las demás áreas y demás funciones que requieren tomar medidas necesarias que permitan asegurar la información. La investigación Adopta una metodología basada en un análisis de riesgos de la infraestructura del área, la cual recopila diversas amenazas y vulnerabilidades que a futuro pueden ocasionar daños severos a la institución, las mismas que son necesarias para plantear soluciones precisas y evitar posibles pérdidas. El diseñar políticas de seguridad informática permite sugerir acciones que deben ser consideradas para, mantener la tecnología informática preparada ante incidentes y eventualidades futuras, a su vez permiten elevar el nivel de seguridad que tendrá la información la cual es considerada como el activo más importante para toda institución. Por lo tanto, cada política establecida debe ser cumplida con total responsabilidad por parte de los que hagan uso de la tecnología informática que posee la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí. | es_ES |
