| Resumen : | El virus del herpes simple tipo 2 (VHS-2) es el agente infeccioso del herpes genital y se transmite por contacto sexual. La infección permanece durante toda la vida del individuo después de la primoinfección. La presente investigación se realizó en la ciudad de Jipijapa en mujeres de edad reproductiva, con el objetivo de determinar la seroprevalencia a herpesvirus tipo 2 y sus factores de riesgo. Para ello se aplicó un diseño descriptivo no experimental y el tipo de estudio fue prospectivo y de corte transversal, en el que la muestra fue de 178 mujeres en edad reproductiva de la ciudad de Jipijapa. |
