| Resumen : | La presente investigación estáenfocada en estudiar la asociación que existe entre factoresde riesgos ehipercolesterolemia en adolescentes de 14a 18 años de edad de la ciudad de Jipijapa. Para realizar este estudio se analizaron los niveles de colesterol total de 208 adolescentes. Se analizaron también los siguientes parámetros: IMC,ejercicio, hábitos alimenticios,consumo de alcoholy antecedentes familiares deenfermedades cardiovasculares. Al concluir esta investigaciónse identificó que un 20.2% de adolescentespresenta hipercolesterolemia, Al evaluarlos factores de riesgos en asociación con los niveles de colesterol se evidencióuna relación positiva existente entrela obesidad y los niveles de colesterol. Así como también se demostró que adolescentes de género femeninopresentanmayor riesgo de colesterol alto. |
| Descripción : | The present researchstudies the association between risk factors and hypercholesterolemia to teenagersfrom 14 to 18 years from the city ofJipijapa. To carry out this study, the total cholesterol levels of 208 teenagerswere analyzed. The following parameters were also analyzed: BMI, exercise, eating habits, alcohol consumption and family history of cardiovascular diseases.At the conclusion of this research it was identified that 20.2% of teenagerspresent with hypercholesterolemia. When evaluating the risk factors in association with cholesterol levels, an existing positive relationship between obesity and cholesterol levels was evidenced. As well as it was demonstrated that teenagersof female gender present higher risk of high cholesterol. |
